Telling the Truth about Revitalization:

Our church is currently participating in a revitalization program, led by the Covenant, in hopes of rediscovering our purpose in the Quinsig Village community of Worcester and in the greater world. If want to learn more about what we're doing, hit up the 'Read More' link.

Overview

The Veritas team was formed to help define the reality of our congregation’s situation—who we are and who our neighbors are.  The goal of the team is to gather data, interpret the data, set goals and then help implement them and then evaluate the process.  The Veritas team is divided into 3 sub-teams: external, internal and communication.  The external team is gathering information outside the church: the demographics of the immediate community, what needs are in the community.  The internal team is gathering information about the reality of the congregation itself: statistics on membership, attendance, age, spiritual gifts, finances, ministries, etc.  The communications team has the task of keeping the congregation up to date on the process through newsletter articles, bulletin inserts, ministry moments, etc.  They are telling the revitalization story—the communications team is a repository and clearinghouse of information.  The Veritas team is also working with an outside consultant to help facilitate the revitalization process.

Team Purpose Statement

To be discerning about God's spiritual, strategic direction for Bethlehem Covenant Church and to make recommendations about a "preferred future".
